After working with dozens of executive teams in Mexico and the United States, we identified five decision-making patterns that consistently distinguish organizations that scale from those that stay stagnant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. They decide what NOT to do before what to do<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Organizations that scale don't have more ideas than others. They have more clarity about what to eliminate. Focus isn't an aspirational value \u2014 it's an operational decision made every week in the executive agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The question that most transforms an executive team isn't \"what should we do?\" but \"what are we going to stop doing so we can do this?\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. They separate reversible decisions from irreversible ones<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Jeff Bezos called these Type 1 and Type 2 decisions. Irreversible ones require process, data, and consensus. Reversible ones require speed. The most common mistake is treating every decision as if it were irreversible \u2014 that paralyzes entire organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A mature executive team knows when to move fast and when to take the necessary time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
